iPhone MMS: It's almost here!

Good news for all iPhone customers in the U.S, as we finally have a release date for the long overdue MMS update. AT&T have finally gotten their act together and have set a date for the software update. As reported from BGR, MMS for AT&T customers will be going live via a software update on September 25th. It will now mean you get the feature you have been waiting for, for months and a feature that the rest of the world has had since the iPhone 3.0 OS update.

Still, we shouldn’t be too hard on AT&T, they obviously had their reasons for not giving us MMS capabilities sooner.

After many discussions online about iPhone MMS, AT&T thought they should respond to all the flak they been getting since delaying the launch of iPhone MMS support. Below this post you can see a YouTube video, which apparently features an employee with AT&T’s public relations group (aka Seth the Blogger Guy or Seth Bloom).

The video is titled “AT&T Network 101 & MMS Availability Update”, and states by saying “talk a little bit about our network, where it is stands now, and a bit about where it’s going”.

The main reason given for the iPhone MMS delay is due to the dramatic increase in Smartphone use, and adding support for iPhone MMS was not a simple process. Watch the video below, and let us know if you agree.
