Palo Alto Networks Warning Sysadmins About GlobalProtect Vulnerabilities

Palo Alto Networks, the Santa Clara, CA based network security firm, is warning admins of vulnerabilities found in their mobile security solution GlobalProtect. The flaws, which were discovered by Palo Alto last night, can cause GlobalProtech to crash open devices to penetration.

The company plans to detail the vulnerabilities at an upcoming security conference in Germany. For now, if you have support, you are recommended to upgrade to one of the fixed versions, which include 5.0.18, 6.0.13, 6.1.10, and 7.0.5H2 and newer.

Reddit user u/HeadacheCentral first posted about the security bulletin on r/networking. He noted that the unusual number of emails he was receiving from Palo Alto suggests that the company has serious concerns about the vulnerabilities.
