Jamie Welch celebrates 100th post on Tech Talk

Jamie Welch- Celebrating 100 posts. It seems like yesterday we made our first post on Tech Talk. Since our first post in January, our growth has been amazing! We started out using the WicketPixie theme that Chris Pirillo uses at his website, http://chris.pirillo.com. A little over a month ago, the growth had been so amazing that we decided that it was time for a redesign. We needed to look more like a news site, because that’s what we were doing- reporting on tech news.

This is Tech Talk as it appeared in August 2009. It features a new article slider, and time and date at the top of the page.

We found this great theme, and we customized it a bit for our purposes. It’s been working great, and portrays a better, more professional image.

We also recently rolled out OpenID support.  You can login with Twitter, AOL, Google, and all OpenID providers. You can see it when leaving a comment.

I’m celebrating 100 posts today with Tech Talk. (You are reading the 100th one.) This is a happy occasion for me, as this is something I love to do. We’ve improved a lot over the months. I’ve covered iPhone releases, Windows and Mac news, Google news, Twitter news, and anything else I find that’s interesting! I even posted an embarrassing clip from when I was stuck in a street sweeper. It’s really been great, and I can’t thank you, the reader, enough. If we didn’t have visitors, I wouldn’t still be posting today. All the RTs and the requests for reviews are great.  They let me know someone’s listening.  Twitter is one of the ways we’ve been able to introduce people to us. (Twitter is our #1 Source of Traffic) We’ve had over 3924 page views so far this month, and that number keeps climbing. In just 7 months, it’s truly amazing how far we’ve come.

So, I say thank you, and I hope to see you again at 200 posts!
