Over 1000 free songs from Microsoft

Microsoft is sponsoring downloads of free music at Reverbnation. The songs are not copy protected, and, in the words of the writer at Download Squad, they don’t all suck.

There is page after page of choices of all types of music. The only downside I see is that most, if not all, are encoded at 192kb/s, and they all have a little Windows banner on the album art.  Prepare to take a while looking around.

So, if you like free (and who doesn’t), and don’t mind low bitrate encoding, go for it!

    • Sure. Microsoft makes the music at a lower quality then some mp3s, but they are free and there are a thousand tracks to choose from.
