Blackberry Storm2 Out Tomorrow

When the Blackberry Storm, RIm’s first touchscreen Blackberry, was released just about  a year ago, needless to say, it was a big disappointment. Memory issues, a slow processor , a jittery touchscreen and lack of wi-fi plagued the device.

On Wednesday, October 28, the Canadian phonemaker, RIM and Verizon have announced, the new Blackberry Storm2 will be released. This version has wi-fi, a software-based and clickable display, a faster processer and more memory “to boot”.

Other features are a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Built-in GPS, V Cast Music with Rhapsody, BlackBerry OS 5.0, and tethering.Existing BlackBerry Storm customers can upgrade their devices to OS 5.0 beginning today via either or for free

According to Verizon, Blackberry Storm2 will be available online, in Verizon retail stores and through Verizon business channels on Wednesday. It will be priced at $179.99 after a $100 mail-in-rebate with a new two-year agreement (on a plan that either offers Email and Web or Email and Web for BlackBerry)
