We all have a little bit of that urge to play, and let me tell you, they have some pretty neat toys nowadays. Sony has jumped the back from camera to internet integration. The Sony DSC-G3 Cyber-shot has a web browser to use at any wireless hot-spot. Pictures from a memory card or internal memory can be uploaded to any photo site, like Dailymotion, YouTube, Picasa, and shutterfly. This may not seem very important, though creative, but think about what happens next. Ubuntu's Desktop Scares Microsoft

Microsoft has a new job description out on linkedin, and it’s for a director of open source strategy.   Here is an exerpt from the CNET News post, whch you can find at http://go.cosmicthings.com/cnet/microsoft/ubuntudesktop/   Ubuntu must be giving Microsoft fits on the desktop. Windows 7 to come out at End of 2009?

Microsoft is moving forward with plans to launch Windows 7 this year, although the company still refuses to publicly commit to that goal. Microsoft is also putting the finishing touches on a program to offer Vista buyers a free or low-cost update to Windows 7. New Tech Talk RSS Screensaver

I am excited to announce that version 1.1 of the Tech Talk RSS screensaver is now online. I regret that this version is for windows only. I will try to find a way to port it to Mac. This screensaver boasts Mac backgrounds, Windows backgrounds and general techy logos and cartoons. It plays radio from the free radio station http://geeksradio.fm , and pulls in the latest news from our blog. You can turn off the background music and the RSS feed, although then there would be no point to the screensaver except to be a picture slideshow. We will be releasing updates in the future. If you ever have any photos tech related you want added to our screensaver, email jamie@cosmicthings.com with them as an attachement. There are 60 photos already- please help us get more. You can always download the latest version from http://go.cosmicthings.com/techtalkscr/ Thanks for using Tech Talk! Download The Screensaver Latest Version...
