Blackberry Storm2 Out Tomorrow
When the Blackberry Storm, RIm’s first touchscreen Blackberry, was released just about a year ago, needless to say, it was a big disappointment. Memory issues, a slow processor , a jittery touchscreen and lack of wi-fi plagued the device.
On Wednesday, October 28, the Canadian phonemaker, RIM and Verizon have announced, the new Blackberry Storm2 will be released. This version has wi-fi, a software-based and clickable display, a faster processer and more memory “to boot”.
Other features are a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Built-in GPS, V Cast Music with Rhapsody, BlackBerry OS 5.0, and tethering.Existing BlackBerry Storm customers can upgrade their devices to OS 5.0 beginning today via either www.verizonwireless.com/storm or www.blackberry.com/update for free
According to Verizon, Blackberry Storm2 will be available online, in Verizon retail stores and through Verizon business channels on Wednesday. It will be priced at $179.99 after a $100 mail-in-rebate with a new two-year agreement (on a plan that either offers Email and Web or Email and Web for BlackBerry)
