Safari 4 Public Beta has been released and is surprisingly great competition against Firefox. When testing it myself, I decided to switch browsers. Come test it out for yourself! Safari 4 Beta Pros: Tabs on the top of the window Top bar takes up less space A “top site” page when you create a blank new tab (like Google chrome does) All around better UI Faster (and I mean Fast) Browser Application launch time is faster than Firefox (about <1 second for my system) Coverflow history New built-in Nitro engine Native Windows feel Developer tools Smart address/search field Phishing and Malware Protection Updated RSS reader Safari 4 Beta Cons: Lost the progressbar in the address bar Saved session in safari is still not added (Stand plug-in can fix this) Takes time to get used to tabs on top...

What’s the best way to create an HR firestorm in three easy steps? If you’re Microsoft, layoff 1,400 employees, give them severance on the way out, and then ask for part of it back.
