No doubt about it, the Motorola Droid has stirred up more interest latelywith all its flashy commercials. A new one is just out : The ad and web promos  are definitely cool but I am not sure that they tell us too much about the actual phone itself. Oh well I hope all the hype is worth...

Just today, MSN popped up with a whole new look, sort of like the nerdey girl in the movies who shows up to school one day looking like a fashion model. It sheds it’s old fashioned cluttered look for a modern sleek one.One could almost say it is beautiful. Of course it is labeled as “Preview” so it may not be the final redesign. Now, much more relevant content for today’s users is the focus. The page seems to invite us to click on the different components which are now more organized and colorful.  The bing search bar is prevalent at the top right under the new msn title with newly designed butterfly. Perhaps this is a way of encouraging the use of bing which has not caught on the the big way that Microsoft expected. Beneath that are sleek minimalistic drop down menues to search News, Entertainment, Sports, Money, Lifestyle and a “More” category.  To the right of that, a local edition link  and a settings menu which includes a choice of a  Latino version. I will be anxious to see the site as it develops over the next weeks. The new BlackBerry Storm was released one week ago for Verizon(USA) and Vodafone (International). So far, the latest creation from Research In Motion, ltd has been a success, as well as a much needed upgrade of the old BlackBerry The latest RIM BlackBerry features not only the latest BlackBerry Mobile OS (Version 5.0), an improved resolution screen, and a ton of other features. but the two most important ones; the improved touchscreen and Wi-Fi support. The Storm2 features an improved SurePress interface, which is designed to be more accurate and more effective. Unlike the old (piece of garbage) BlackBerry Storm, the new Storm2 has four button zones instead of 1, meaning that texting, email, surfing the web, and just using the phone, is more accurate, faster, and easier to use. the BlackBerry now has a much more streamlined, smoother design, and now looks more like a legitimate touchscreen smartphone. Even better, the Storm2 does not have the small “gap” between the screen and the body of the phone, meaning dust and dirt won’t be a problem. and best of all, the new storm2 has complete wi-fi capability. As an old BlackBerry  Storm owner, I think that most of these new features should have been on the first model.
