App of the Week: Readability

App of the Week: Readability

This week’s app is not a phone app but a cool little bookmarklet that you can use on your PC or Mac. It comes from experimental labs at arc90 .If you are one of those finding that you need glasses more and more or, that after a whole day on the computer, things are getting just a little too fuzzy, this is for you. Go to http://go.cosmicthings.com/readability/
Select the settings that you would like to see your text in . You can pick from Novel, ebook, Newspaper layout and more.. You can choose a size for the text from extra small to extra large and you can even set the margin from extra narrow to extra wide.
Then just drag the readability bookmarklet into your bookmark toolbar.
When yo find a page in your browsing that is too small or too large to comfortably read online, just click the bookmarklet and voila the page is transformed. The application removes the cluttered images and pulls the text into a text-only readable window set to your parameters. There are buttons from which you can print, email the page and revert back to the original layout. It is simple and direct and free.

Here is a little video to demonstrate how it works exactly. Try Readability and let us know what you think about it.
