Google Nexus Perplexes -Not Quite in the Game

For those of you going through excited anticipation of the supposed announcement of the Apple Tablet tomorrow, remember just a month ago we were all embedded in that same frenzy over the Google Phone. But things have not been all that good for Google and its Nexus One. It all boils down to the fact that Google is not in the sales business. They are in a whole new ball game now. They have never had to advertise their own products and they have never had to deal face to face with the public. In their Field of Dreams “Build it and they will come” style they have always been able to put their free experiences out there and they get scooped up. Their offerings were always unique and not in competition with too many others. They were setting the bar. Now they are competing with iPhone as well as another top selling Android phone. Over time the score may pick up for Google but they are off to a slow atart in the early innings.
